Well what a week it has been at YouinMind.org as we continue to promote mental health services in Cheshire! So what's new at YouinMind.org?
We’ve started work on our plans for Mental Health Awareness Week, which, if you didn’t know, starts on Monday 14th May 2018. This year’s theme is stress so expect to see some new information and services on our platform during that week.
That week we will also be working in partnership with the West Cheshire CCG to improve the accessibility of mental health services in that catchment area. Our goal is to reach out to the local communities and raise awareness of the potential YouinMind.org has to boost mental health and wellbeing in the region.
Of course, we’ve been busy adding a range of new services to the website, though we do ask that more providers get in touch. We want to ensure we have the most current information about mental health services in Cheshire.
One thing we’ve been including on our site, and which we will continue to add over the oncoming weeks, is video content from major mental health organisations. We’re confident more video content on our platform will inform and advise our users.
That said, here’s a list of both local and virtual services we’ve added to the platform this week:
- The Dementia Guide by the Alzheimer's Society is a series of online videos about what dementia is and how to support people living with this condition.
- Healthbox CIC have launched a range of new services as part of The Wellbeing High Street project including Children’s Outdoor Yoga, Relaxation Sessions and Mental Health Support, all based in West Cheshire.
- The Indigo Recovery Café in Crewe has now extended its drop-in services to include Monday evenings and Wednesday afternoons.
- The Mental Health Foundation has a great range of self-help guides designed to enhance mental wellbeing. They also have a range of videos about Mental Health at Work.
